Sunday, 01JUN, Dan headed into town & the Verizon store because somehow he deleted the keyboard app from his smart phone. Looks like smart phones aren’t so smart, if the operator isn’t? The techs had never seen this before & the so called voice recognition feature was of no help. It took them over an hour to solve the problem. When it looked like all hope was lost, one of the techs did an internet search to get the answer on how to do a factory reboot when there is no keyboard on the screen.
Thursday, 05JUN, Dan’s other cousin Steve (Steve Ruttner) who we last saw June of 2011 stopped by for a quick visit. Turns out this is the weekend of a yearly golf “weekend” for Steve & about fifteen friends east of the Cascades in Leavenworth. The visit was way too short, but we are very glad he stopped by on his drive east on US 2. After Steve & his dog Jackson departed, we headed to a RV dealer in Everett pick up our RV. We have been dealing with a front door water leak for some time & decided to have the “pros” deal with it.

One of the key things we wanted to get done before the kids visit was to install some permanent seating around our firepit (assuming everyone would enjoy making smores?). Corrie had gotten some sections of “stadium seating” some years ago; that have been stored outside for Dan to get around to figuring out how to mount them so that they were stable but moveable? Dan’s solution was definitely stable, but we could only move them with the tractor.
In preparation for the kids/grandkids visit we:
---mowed & bush hogged the yard & pasture
---washed the RV & cleaned the inside
---picking up rental mini van, & installing two car seats for Jaxson & Mason
---clean the house, & trying to child proof it
---having local computer tech try to solve wifi issue at house, so everyone can access internet; no joy:(
While fitting in:
---medical appointments
---gardening
---Dan volunteered
two days with Habitat for Humanity in Everett; turns out some banks are donating
repossessed older homes to Habitat for refurbishing/modernizing for Habitat
