01-29MAR22 - Sultan, WA

Sunday AM, 05MAR, off to state fairgrounds in Puyallup for “The Revolution” Brazilian Jiu Jitsu tournament; a two day tournament in which Raymond, Jaxson & Mason are competing.  Yesterday Raymond won his bracket (unfortunately we could not attend his day).

Today was the grandsons brackets; won’t go into all the details but everyone made it to the podium.

Then we grabbed the grandsons and took them back to the house.  After dinner was fire in the family fire pit, but because of darkness, we didn’t do smores.  But had “indoor” prepared smores afterwards.

Monday AM, due to avalanche danger, no snow activities as planned with grandsons.  So off to Mukilteo with grandboys to explore the beach area; unfortunately lighthouse closed.

Lunch at Ivars.  Then to St Edward St Park in Kenmore; finally back home to repack the truck to take grandkids to Edmonds ferry to get them home.

Rest of month spent on routine activities: more vaccines we got our second shingles shot in addition to the four shots already for covid; car maintenance (including replacing cabin air filters?); Corrie preparing garden for spring and summer; Dan gets first haircut since covid restrictions; some skiing; one of Corrie’s teeth breaks off - will require major dental repair soon; one more girls’ day out with Jan Formisano.

Finish the month stating Sunday 27MAR, by getting ready for next weeks RV trip to rendezvous with Rebecca & boys in Crescent City, CA.  We move RV out of shop/RV garage building & take it for test drive (since it has not moved for months).  Rest of day spent packing RV, & some mowing in late afternoon.

Monday AM Dan does partial day of volunteering at food bank; Corrie all day with medical appointments.  Tuesday great weather and big effort getting RV ready for tomorrow’s departure; test run generator also, then hook up toad.  Some re-learning of how things work, because of long time since last RV travel/operation.
