April started w/Easter Sunday & grandkids hunting for eggs
in the rain. Then that afternoon it
started snowingL? Monday
morning, 02APR, we awoke to more snow on ground.
That evening kids & grandkids headed to
Bremerton & Olympic peninsula. The
purpose of the trip is to checkout the area since Raymond is probably going to
start a new job in the Bremerton area?
It was a quick visit, with them returning on Wednesday.
Thursday, 05APR, Dan picked his sister Sharon up at
airport. Her visit to the Seattle area
was to take care of some unexpected family business, & was on extremely
short notice. In spite of her schedule
having little free time, we did have a family dinner that night before taking
her to her daughter Marisa’s.
Friday, 21APR, is B-day dinner for Raymond at Olive Garden (his
favorite). Saturday grandkids have first
t-ball game; this being the Pacific NW, the game is in the rain. After dinner we have birthday cake for
Raymond. Sunday (Raymond’s actually
b-day) Rebecca & kids take Raymond to his “new” apartment outside
Bremerton, for the start of his new job on Monday.
Of course on Monday Rebecca & Raymond learn their recent bid
on a house in east Bremerton, WA, has been acceptedJ! So now Raymond will have to find a way to
shorten his apartment lease? The plan is
to keep Jaxson & Mason in their schools here; & after school finishes,
move to the new house. Meanwhile Raymond
will come here on weekends.
Other than the above events, the month was filled with routine
activities like: smores around the fire
circle; t-ball; couple more skiing days for Dan; installing drip irrigation in
Corrie’s vegetable/fruit garden; having contractor pressure wash house roof
& decks; etc; etc.
Weather wise April not only started w/snow, but turned out to be
third wettest on record! But we did
manage a few days of sunshine; grandkids even played in the sprinkle, & we
dined al fresco!
