February was pretty quiet (for us).
First event of note was sister in-law Cindie’s fiftieth birthday at
Tulalip Casino Saturday, 03FEB. Enroute
to the casino we stopped to visit cousin Bob Harris & wife Pattie’s. After Cindie’s birthday celebration we were going
to do a little gambling but found the casino’s minimum bets too high for usL
Monday Dan finished making Corrie’s xmas gift! All she wanted this year (last year?) was an
expanded fruit/veggie garden, with better fencing to keep the deer &
bunnies out. So he added four more
raised beds, surrounded by a six foot high fence. Not pretty, but functional?
Saturday, 10FEB we took Rebecca & grandkids to SeaTac for a flight to New Orleans. With husband
Raymond working overseas & kids a little “home sick”, they decided to visit
old friends in Houma, Louisiana.
Sunday we headed into Seattle for lunch at Place Pigalle (aka
the pig place). We had been given a xmas
gift certificate by Rebecca & Raymond.
Little did they know that Pigalle was once a hidden away dive bar in the Pike
Place Market that Dan & friends were known to frequentJ Now it is a upscale French bistro. Returning to our truck we stopped at the
Vietnamese Tet Festal celebration at Seattle Center.
Sunday, 18FEB, pick-up Rebecca & kids at airport. Saturday, 24FEB, warmer temps return; so Rebecca,
Jaxson, Mason & Dan go hiking on the Cherry Creek Falls Trail.
Nothing more of note happened during February, other than we had
snow on the 18th, 23rd, 25th & 26th.
